"Personally, I am a hedonistic reader; I have never read a book merely because it was ancient. I read books for the aesthetic emotions they offer me..." - Jorge Luis Borges
Love your thoughts, and in 2025, I am hoping to pay closer attention (and even get involved) in the book banning in Rutherford County, TN. Good thoughts here to refer to when that happens!
I read Indigenous People's History of the United States because you wrote about it here. It's one of those that after I read I thought the same thing, that EVERYONE should read this book and not enough will. Your blog has helped remind me of my love for reading, and so I've read the entire Dune series this year (ok, I'm JUST ABOUT done with Chapterhouse, the last book). And then I'll either revisit my first love: nonfiction because I too like to learn things, or, I'll expand my repertoire and read some new fiction. 2025 is gonna be a great year (of reading at least!) won't comment on the state of...anything else. This was a great post, Chris. Keep em coming!
